ASUENE Finalizes Equity Transfer to JICT, Officially Launching Joint Investment in U.S.-based NZero

ASUENE has completed an equity transfer of a 49% stake in ASUENE America Holdings to the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services (JICT), officially launching a new co-investment partnership. This initiative is designed to support the global growth of startups through a public-private collaboration.
This partnership officially establishes a joint investment framework between ASUENE and JICT, enabling ASUENE to fully commit to supporting the growth of U.S.-based climate tech company NZero. The two organizations will deepen their collaboration to accelerate the global expansion of startups in the decarbonization and climate tech sectors across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Completion of the Equity Transfer
In 2025, ASUENE welcomed NZero, a U.S.-based climate tech company specializing in hourly GHG emissions tracking and AI-driven energy management, into the group. Since then, ASUENE has been working to form a co-investment partnership with JICT through a structured scheme via ASUENE America Holdings.
With this final equity transfer, ASUENE now holds a 51% stake and JICT holds 49%, formally initiating the co-investment partnership. By combining the strengths of both organizations, the partners will actively drive NZero’s growth in the U.S. market.
Future Outlook
This investment is more than just a commitment to NZero; it’s the first step in a broader partnership between ASUENE and JICT to support the global business expansion of climate tech startups.
Going forward, the partners will continue to strengthen their collaboration and support startups as they take on new challenges in the global market, starting with the U.S.
