pafin Inc. has released a command-line interface (CLI) for cryptact, its industry-leading crypto tax platform. The tool is designed to integrate cryptact’s profit-and-loss calculation engine directly into developer environments and automated AI workflows.

Key Features and Capabilities

Direct Engine Access: Developers and power users can now access cryptact’s calculation engine from any terminal without leaving the command line.
Core Functions: The CLI allows users to upload exchange files, trigger gain-and-loss calculations, search transaction histories, and export tax results.
AI & Agentic Compatibility: The tool is specifically designed for compatibility with AI coding environments (such as Claude Code) and can be invoked by trading scripts and automated workflows.
Future MCP Support: Later in April 2026, cryptact plans to release a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing non-technical users to interact with the platform through chat-based AI assistants.
