Digital Garage and Resona launch B2B payment service “Online Bill Payment”

Digital Garage has launched the B2B payment service “Online Bill Payment by Card” together with Resona Holdings. The service is now available at Resona Bank, Saitama Resona Bank, as well as Kansai Mirai Bank, and will be available from January 2025 at Minato Bank. This initiative is based on the capital and business alliance between DG and Resona HD.

In the B2B payment market, the Electronic Bookkeeping Act was revised in 2024, with bills and checks scheduled to be digitized by 2026, and the transition to new payment methods is expected to create an increased burden on business operations. In addition, there is growing demand for credit card payments, which can improve cash flow and consolidate fund management, and the number of corporate credit cards issued has roughly doubled in the eight years from the end of March 2014 to the end of March 2022.

In response to this, DG and Resona Holdings have cooperated to provide this B2B payment service, “Online Invoice Card Payment,” as a service to promote the efficiency of payment operations for small and medium-sized enterprises.

“Invoice Card Payment Online” is a payment service that allows users to postpone the effective payment due date by switching invoices paid by bank transfer to credit card payment. Resona Payment Services transfers invoices on corporate customers’ behalf through its subcontractor DG, making it possible to make payments using credit cards even to business partners that do not support card payments. Transfers to business partners are made under the customer’s name.
