GO's Taxi Rear Seat Tablets Get Equipped with "Anywhere D135" Cashless Payments

Infcurion has announced that its group company Link Processing has begun full-scale implementation of the cashless payment solution "Anywhere D135" on rear seat tablets deployed by GO Corporation, which provides the taxi app "GO". The rear seat tablets will undergo full-scale implementation from this summer and are scheduled to be installed in over 70,000 vehicles nationwide.
Background
In recent years, mobility and service delivery methods have undergone significant changes. In particular, consumer demand for contactless and non-face-to-face service provision has rapidly increased, while the urgent challenge of labor-saving and operational efficiency improvement for businesses due to declining working population has become apparent.
In the taxi industry as well, establishing an environment where drivers can focus on driving and improving passenger convenience has become essential for sustainable service provision. Against this backdrop, GO has been implementing Link Processing's payment terminals since 2018 as payment terminals optimized for "self-operation" that allow passengers to smoothly complete payments themselves.
About Anywhere D135

The newly implemented payment terminal "Anywhere D135" is a SPoC※1 terminal without PIN input buttons, enabling tap payments through the tablet screen, dramatically improving the payment experience in limited spaces. The adoption of SPoC terminals specialized for passenger-operated terminals, like "Anywhere D135," represents an advanced initiative in Japan.
※1 SPoC (Software-based PIN Entry on COTS)
A payment method consisting of a dedicated card reader that reads credit card and electronic money information, and applications running on smart devices for inputting PINs and other information.
