PayPay will begin offering the virtual card "PayPay Balance Card," which can be issued on the PayPay app and used at online credit card member merchants.

The "PayPay Balance Card" can be used at domestic online shopping and content websites that accept Visa credit cards, with payment amounts immediately deducted from the "PayPay Balance" and "PayPay Points" in the "PayPay" app.

Additionally, "PayPay Balance Card" transactions are eligible for "PayPay Step" counting and point rewards, which are regular benefits of "PayPay." This means that at online shops where "PayPay" is not yet available, users can still earn "PayPay Points" advantageously by using the "PayPay Balance Card," just like when making payments with their regular "PayPay Balance."

The "PayPay Balance Card" can be issued from the PayPay app in as little as 30 seconds, provided prior identity verification (eKYC) procedures in "PayPay" have been completed. No credit assessment is required, which is customary when creating a credit card, and there are no annual fees. Since payments cannot exceed the held "PayPay Balance", users worried about overspending can enjoy online shopping with greater peace of mind.

By linking "PayPay" and Google Pay accounts, the "PayPay Balance Card" can be used for online shopping in Google's web browser "Google Chrome" without entering card numbers, making it even more convenient.

PayPay and Google Pay Account Integration

The cashless payment service "PayPay" can now be linked with Google Pay accounts. Both iPhone and Android users can link their PayPay and Google Pay accounts, automatically registering "PayPay," "PayPay Card", and "PayPay Balance Card" as payment methods across Google services, making payments more convenient. Payments made through Google Pay integration with PayPay, PayPay Card, and PayPay Balance Card are eligible for PayPay's regular reward program "PayPay Step" and earn PayPay Points.

When making payments on Google's web browser Google Chrome, card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes for "PayPay Card" and "PayPay Balance Card" will be automatically entered in credit card fields, making online shopping and digital content purchases more convenient and smooth. When selecting a payment card, the card design and name of "PayPay Card" and "PayPay Balance Card" will be displayed, making it easier to choose the right card even when multiple cards are registered.

PayPay and PayPay Card can be easily registered as payment methods for Google Play and YouTube services provided by Google.

3. Easy Registration for Google Pay Contactless Payments

For Android users, in addition to the traditional registration method through the Google Wallet app, PayPay Card can now be automatically added to Google Wallet more easily. Adding PayPay Card to Google Wallet enables contactless payments with PayPay Card, making shopping at physical stores more convenient and allowing use for online payments in Google Pay-compatible apps and websites.
