Mizuho Releases Generative AI-powered Platform "Wiz Base" for Sales Support
Mizuho Financial Group is releasing the generative AI-powered platform "Wiz Base" and will earnestly promote large-scale PoCs (Proof of Concepts) in anticipation of full-scale implementation of AI utilization in the sales support domain.
Wiz Base is a platform built by Mizuho on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to operate AI agents. It adopts a multi-LLM configuration that can safely integrate multiple models, including Claude (by Anthropic), using Amazon Bedrock, and is designed based on Mizuho's defined "AI Oriented Architecture (AIOA)." This realizes a multi-agent system where multiple agents collaborate to perform tasks while ensuring the reliability, auditability, and authority control required of financial institutions.

Additionally, with the release of Wiz Base, Mizuho has begun operating the following major in-house AI components, aiming to visualize and reuse the know-how and insights accumulated in sales operations through AI, thereby providing higher added value to more customers:

- RM (Relationship Manager) Studio: AI analyzes dialogue history and proposal content with customers to present RMs with next steps, proposal strategies, and creates proposal slides.

- Wiz Create Meeting Record and Minutes Creation Agent "Menkikun": AI automatically records and summarizes face-to-face and online business meetings to create meeting records and minutes. Future integration with CRM and knowledge bases is planned.
- Wiz Search: AI searches through vast and diverse internal information in administrative and credit areas to find procedural documents and manuals related to employee questions and generates answers.
- Mizuho AI Interviewer: AI conducts interviews with experienced RMs to formalize sales know-how and experiential knowledge (tacit knowledge) obtained from the interviews. The extracted insights will be used as training data for RAG DB and Mizuho's proprietary LLM construction.
- Mizuho DeepResearch: AI autonomously investigates and summarizes trends in client companies and industries, providing information that contributes to proposal activities.
These AI components collaborate on Wiz Base to consistently support RMs from proposal preparation through proposal execution to reflection. Effects such as improved proposal speed, more efficient knowledge sharing, and deeper customer understanding have already begun to appear in multiple departments. By continuing to expand and develop these initiatives, Mizuho will at least double the productivity of sales activities.
Going forward, with Wiz Base at the core, Mizuho will promote AI utilization not only in internal productivity improvement and sales support areas, but also in various domains including customer touchpoints.
Mizuho will continue to conduct continuous research and development of new technologies toward the coming era of agentic AI, aiming for dramatic improvements in customer and employee experience and productivity.
