Sony Bank announced the release of “Sony Bank CONNECT” in summer 2024, aiming to contribute to the expansion of the creator and fan economy in the web3 era.
Sony Bank CONNECT is a smartphone app for the web3 entertainment domain, themed “Allowing anyone to easily and safely enjoy. Connecting to expanding moving experiences.”
By connecting with the service “SNFT”, it will provide a function to display and enjoy the NFTs users own on SNFT, a marketplace where users can purchase and manage NFTs with a credit card. Purchased NFTs can be viewed on SNFT and sent to a wallet. It uses an environmentally friendly public chain. SNFT explores the digital existence together with fans and brands. SNFT Inc. is 100% invested by Sony Group.
At the summer 2024 release, users will be able to enjoy digital content such as NFTs previously distributed by Sony Bank through campaigns, and digital content to be presented to customers who purchase Sony Bank’s digital security “US Dollar-Denominated Green Finance Security Token (№1 of 2024)” and respond to a survey.
Sony Bank CONNECT will continue to expand its functions after release by incorporating customer requests, thereby contributing to the future development of Japan’s web3 entertainment domain. Currently, requirement definitions and designs are underway for the release of a blockchain-based wallet, and this is positioned as the first step in that process.
