The Norinchukin Bank Group Begins DX Support Through Box

Nochu Information Systems (NIC), a group company of The Norinchukin Bank responsible for system engineering, has started providing Digital Transformation (DX) support services as a sales partner of Box Japan.

NIC has been working within the Norinchukin Bank Group to establish systems for consolidating and centralizing internal information using Box, improving question-answering capabilities and searchability of internal documents using AI, and building a foundation for efficiently utilizing organizational knowledge. With the aim of sharing this digital utilization knowledge and mechanisms with regional financial institutions and other industries, NIC has launched a new external sales business. The intelligent content management platform Box has become a handled product, and NIC has begun offering services combined with consulting that incorporates the utilization of related IT services.

Overview of Box Implementation in the Norinchukin Bank Group

  • Box implementation began in December 2022 as part of building an infrastructure to achieve Corporate Transformation (CX), and is currently used as a content management platform for 19 domestic offices, 4 overseas offices, and 14 group companies.
  • Box has strengthened secure collaboration between departments and with external parties, and established a system that consolidates content that previously existed separately in proprietary workflow systems, file servers, personal PCs, and paper documents into Box, significantly improving document searchability and security.
  • Utilizing Box AI has further enhanced the question-answering capability and searchability of internal documents, building a foundation for efficiently utilizing organizational knowledge.
  • To promote business digitization, Box was connected with ServiceNow to improve document management efficiency through metadata tagging of content. This has established an efficient compliance system for regulations such as the Electronic Books Preservation Act.
