Mizuho and Shizuoka Financial Participate in Yoom's First External Funding Round to Advance AI Autonomous Operations

Tokyo-based AI automation developer Yoom has raised ¥700 million (approx. $4.7 million) in its first external funding round. The financing round attracted backing from key institutional investors, notably including Mizuho Capital (via Mizuho Growth Support No. 5 Investment Limited Partnership) and Shizuoka Capital (via Shizuoka Vision Co-creation No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership).

Additional participation in the round included Dual Bridge Capital, Harrisley, and Canon Marketing Japan's CVC fund operated by Global Brain Corporation.

Led by Representative Director Shun Hatozaki, Yoom operates an "autonomous operation platform" designed to streamline corporate workflows by combining generative AI flexibility with rule-based systems automation. The platform enables AI agents and human workers to collaborate on complex business processes with minimal manual intervention.

As of September 2026, Yoom reports surpassing 70,000 registered users and currently processes over 5 million tasks monthly.

Capital Allocation Breakdown

According to company statements, the proceeds will be deployed across three core growth initiatives:

  1. Product & Feature R&D: Accelerating feature engineering to support complex operations and expanding workspace capabilities for human-AI collaboration.
  2. System Integrations: Expanding beyond its current coverage of 750+ third-party services to deepen integration with enterprise legacy and core internal systems.
  3. Talent Acquisition & Go-To-Market: Scaling recruitment across engineering and customer success teams while boosting marketing spend to drive enterprise adoption.
